The Branded Entertainment Summit ProPKo was initiated by Andreas Waldner in 2003 and has been organized and hosted annually since then by W.TV Entertainment Marketing. In 2011, the Product Placement and Branded Entertainment Award PPA was also launched. The Association for Product Placement and Branded Entertainment e.V. has been co-organizer since 2017.
The aim of this initiative is to create transparency, know-how transfer and benchmarking in the industry. The technical discourse should accompany the ongoing structural process. With the involvement of international speakers, their expertise should also be taken into account as well as the boundlessness of the film business. In the opinion of participants, this has established the leading industry meeting place in the German-speaking region over the course of time.
